You can't. Unless they tell you they have the virus or you can physically see any sores present, you will have no way of knowing they have the virus. Even then, some people can go years without having an outbreak, while others don't have any symptoms from the virus.

And, there are actually 8 different kinds of herpes, not 5 like April said.
* HHV-1 = HSV-1 (herpes simplex virus 1): causes oral and/or genital herpes (predominantly orofacial)
* HHV-2 = HSV-2 (herpes simplex virus 2): causes oral and/or genital herpes (predominantly genital)
* HHV-3 = VZV (varicella zoster virus): causes chickenpox and shingles
* HHV-4 = EBV (Epstein-Barr virus), lymphocryptovirus: causes infectious mononucleosis, Burkitt's lymphoma and nasopharyngeal carcinoma
* HHV-5 = CMV (cytomegalovirus): causes infectious mononucleosis, retinitis, etc.
* HHV-6 = Human B-cell lymphotrophic virus or roseolovirus: causes "sixth disease" (known as roseola infantum or exanthem subitum)
* HHV-7 = closely related to HHV-6; causes roughly the same symptoms
* HHV-8 = a type of rhadinovirus = KSHV = Kaposi's sarcoma-associated herpesvirus: causes Kaposi's sarcoma, primary effusion lymphoma and some types of multicentric Castleman's disease

I got clinically diagnosed with herpes simplex virus (type 2) about seven yrs ago, while I was still attending college and had a stupid one-night stand. I know lots of young ladies will say this, but I swear I had never done that sort of thing before. I just made a massive mistake that one time and all of a sudden I felt like I was going to have to live with the consequences for my entire life. The worst part was feeling I could never date men again. After all, who wants to go out with a girl who has sores round her you-know-what? But since a friend shared this video https://tr.im/0Ywfk everything changed.

Not only was I able to remove all traces of the hsv from my system in less than three weeks, but I was also able to begin dating once more. I even met the man of my dreams and I'm so lucky to write that just last week, in front of everyone in a packed cafe, he got down on one knee and proposed to me! This system provided the chance to be happy and experience true love. Now I want to help you too by sharing this with the World.

YOU CAN'T BUT HERPES IS NO BIG DEAL. There are several (I think 5) categories of herpes, and you are probably most worried about genital herpes. The press was making a big deal about it 30 years ago --- they are running out of things to say about aids, so maybe they are starting to do so again --- articles in Time Magazine, Newsweek, to sell magazines (what else is new? so people got all upset about it. Fact is, 90% of all children by the age of 3 have oral herpes from adults kissing them and googooing in their faces with misted saliva hitting their eyes and lips. Women often infect themselves with oral herpes in the genital area by moistening tampons with their mouth before insertion. The ONLY reason herpes is a big deal is in the pregnant female when she is about to deliver....... exposure to herpes in the vaginal tract when she is having an outbreeak to a neonate leads to severe neurological presentations. Other than that, an outbreak is inconvenient, itchy, a little sore, and easily controlable with Zoverax, a cream that is soothing. In 10-14 days, the little sores around the peri-anal area heal up, and are gone. So, no, it is no big deal. It is indeed contageous, but you may already have it, and not know it....most people do. And the outbreaks lessen as you age...becoming less frequent and lasting less days. Soooooo, hope this answers your question.......Now AIDS, that is another matter. And interestingly, when AIDS hit the headlines, suddenly, there was not one article for years about herpes...... go figure the press..... Herpes has been around for millions of years.....

It does no longer reside very lengthy in any respect. It are not able to continue to exist a bathroom seat. It can best reside for a TINY bit on anything rainy. IF anybody wiped themselves and had herpes (and used to be having a scourge or losing), you then wiped yourselves with that equal towel inside like a minute, then it's viable to transmit that approach. BUT, it is extremely not likely to get herpes this fashion. Many folks have herpes for years and in no way recognise they've it. So, certainly one of you might have had it and simply did not recognise. Some folks additionally best have particularly moderate outbreaks that they mistake for anything else. There used to be a survey performed in which they took one million,000 random folks and validated them eager about herpes. They located one million out of four had herpes two, and seventy eight% of the ones folks did NOT recognise that they had it. When you cross to a dr and ask for all the std exams, they're going to NOT scan you for herpes except you ask. Because of that, many folks suppose they're best they usually can have herpes.

No. If the person is not currently having an outbreak, there is no way to know, usless you see their test results. During an outbreak, it is obvious, of course. But during times of remission, everything is back to normal. No itching, or sores. No signs or symptoms. Just have to trust the person you are with to tell you the truth. Use condoms just in case.
