not really. Most of American food lacks taste and sometimes tasteless. You are used to American food and fin it great because you have an American tounge. Koreans would say they have the best food too because they have Korean tongues. Al the other races may say they have the best food all over the world. In my case, nothing beats the food in my country.

Well, if you mean by quality, freshness, then yes, we are the best. We supposedly have one of the lowest rate of food-borne disease transmission in the world. We have volumes of rules and regulations for every kind of food, our local health departments try to monitor safety of restaurants. Our transportation systems, such as the railroad, have rules. One of my father's friends was an inspector for the railroad, if the rules were not followed, and the food was judged to be unsafe, he said, it was disposed of. The groceries have rules.
American food is the greatest in the world, because we have the world on our American plates every day. The American stew pot, the one sitting on your stove at your house right now is the melting pot of the world. Your grocery store is , too. Chinese section, Mexican section, fruit from south America, pasta from Italy. And if that is enough, tour any city in America, who will find a restaurant that sells food from other cultures, now American, because it is being served, here.

Ever heard the term "America's Melting Pot"? This refers to the fact that the people who inhabit America dont come from here but from everywhere else in the world. We have the best because even "american cuisine" is influenced by all the other people that brought their food here. We also have some great creativity around here too. Does America actually have its own food? The only thing I can think of, is perhaps Americans came up with how to fit more fat, salt and perservatives in each inch of the processed crap that is so "delicious". Don't take credit for all of the great foods that originate from everywhere but the U.S. Have another slice of your Mama's apple pie.

That is an opinion. America does not have THE best food. Dont you mean the best quality? I dont really like fast foods or junk foods. I like Vietnamese and Japanese food though. Panda Express sucks. It's too oily. Korean food is not so bad too.

Americans don't have their own food, that is why they go to Mexican,Chinese, Greek, Italian, french,etc. restaurants. Every dish that is very popular in America is imported, like pizza or tacos that you mention. So you should better ask: what dish originally come from America (USA), if there is any. I would like to know is there something like that.
