we're veggies, and have been for 20 odd years... my wifes skin is pale, but blemish free. she has no digestion problems and her cholesterol is amazingly low, below 3. her iron is ok, she eats lots of greenleaf stuff. cabbage spinnach brocolli etc. and she eats junk food...crisps (potato chips to you americans) oh, and shes a size 12, and shes had 2 kids and looks great...

and bad skin isnt nessecarily down to your diet. lots of other factors influence your zits, spots, blemishes and whether its dry or oily.... oh and sylvia hasnt eaten meat for over 20 years. in fact weve all got good skin, and are all healthy, and we put ti down to cooking oour food, all of it from ingredients, (that way we know what were eating) yes, i know its a bind, having to cook, but it teaches you skills yo cant get any other way, and it saves you a fortune.
dont forget almost everything you buy has added sugar and salt, e numbers by the handful, and some rather unplesant chemicals and saturated fats... which arent good for anyone.

young children have great skin anyway, its makeup and face products, also loaded with chemicals, which cause many skin problems, makeup remover literally strips away the makeup, and your natural oils...and it can cause dry skin, sores, and dermatitis. (im allergic to certain soaps, shampoos and deodorants)

so, its not just down to what you eat, but also what you put on it that gives you good skin... and please remember, "beauty consultants and glossy magazines tell their latest product is fantastic, ask yourself why... its just because they want to sell you something...they dont care about you, just your cash. how ethical can an industry be that tests its products on animals?

I was a born vegetarian, and i am anemic because of the lack of iron. So my skin is pale but its also soft and blemish free. Although i eat meat every now and then for the extra iron now.

I know people who are vegetarians who have good skin.

Then again, I know more meat-eaters who have good skin, and veggies who don't have good skin.

To say 'I'm a veggie and I have good skin' and to imply that therefore all veggies must have good skin is genetic fallacy and a stupid argument.

I am not sure if it is because I am vegan but I have really good skin I never have to wash my face and I have never had a zit or pimple or anything. Knock on wood.
