There is not a standard battery of test done for STDs. It up to the doctor you saw. Each STD requires a specific test to be ordered. Usually, only chlamydia and gonorrhea are requested. Examination for trichomonas is sometimes routinely check for; however, it is often only done if vaginal symptoms or signs are noted. Syphyilis (usually a blood test) is not routinely checked for at a doctors office. Herpes is not usually checked for unless you are actively having findings of break out (painful small blisters or ulerations). The common test technique for herpes will not make a diagnosis unless there is an active skin blister/ulcer that can be swabed. There are other less common STDs beyond what has been mentioned. Also know that HIV, hepatitis A, B, and C can all be STDs
Bottomline, you have to ask the doctor which STDs were checked for.

Good for you. Be very careful. You should check with the doctor who reveal the result to you. There are a few kind of herpes beside the one listed in STD.

If you did not specify to your gynecologist what your history as far as the partners you were with and your interest in being tested for all STD's...you were then NOT tested for everything. When you get a pap, they test for Ghon, Chlym, Trich, for sure. They usually never test for Herpes, HPV, HIV, Syph, unless you want them to, or unless you pap comes back with abnormal cells. If you are concerned, just ask, and let them know that is what you would like to happen. Usually most gyn. ask you what you would all like you smear tested for.

You need to call you doctor to find out what you were tested for. Usually a culture is taken to check for Gon. and Chlam. Doctors only cultrue herpes if there is a lesion to culture. Herpes is usually tested for by blood. You probably weren't tested for HIV during this exam because it is either done by blood or salvia and your consent is needed to do this test. You best bet is to call your doctor and ask " what did you test me for...." Get a HIV test you know to know that too and remember to use condoms.

USE A CONDOM and don't preform oral intercourse on him except you're doing it with a condom on. Wait a pair months and get re-examined. sometimes it takes a pair months for it to take place on a attempt. HIV to illustrate, you get examined yet could desire to get RE-examined 6 months later in basic terms to be sure.
