if u go for an hiv test n they call n say u have 2 retake the test b/c the test was abnormal what dat mean?

It depends on the methodology of the test. With some tests there are interfering factors. HIV tests that are preliminary positive or suspicious are usually repeated using a confirmatory method to make sure that they are truly positive. There are quite a few times that a screen test will look funny or suspicious but will be completely negative with a back up method. Scares the bejezus out of you tho.
