When I had Michigan rolls (salmon and avocado) last week, I had a stomach ache, but the ginger cleared it up real quick.

Avacado has a high fat content, but the amount in a sushi roll is not enough to do any damage to your stomach. I would be much more suspect of the raw fish. Did you eat at a reputable restaurant? Always use the wasabi when you eat sushi. It will kill any bacteria in the raw fish and keep you healthy.

Avocado has LOTS of fat in it, and you may have eaten too much of it. Except for the fat, avocado it mild and very good for most people. Do you have a similar reaction to nuts or heavy cream? Butter or mayonaise? If so it was the fat. Otherwise, look at other possibilities

Definitely the Salmon. Avacado is very mild, I'd suspect the fish before the avacado.

Why blame the avocado when there was so much else on your plate that day?

Sure it can, it makes my best friend violently ill because she is allergic to it. You may have a mild allergy. Either that or it wasn't as fresh as it should have been.

I would think the salmon got you sick, before the avacado.
