It must have some kind of nutritional value. If anything it has water. The best kind of lettuce to get is your green leaf lettuces and spinach.

Not quite. It consists of mostly water. It looks like ice a little, don't you think? It's clear and crisp and definitely appears a little translucent. This rule goes with any veggie- The greener it is, the more nutrients! Most of the time raw veggies are the most nutritious- when you cook or boil them, they even do lose color, so the rule usually does work. I'd try spinach leaves. They're amazing, and have more flavor. They're really good in salads if you add in almonds and cranberries!

No, iceberg lettuce is the least nutritious. Try romaine, leaf, watercress, spinach, those have the most nutrients of the greens!

I hear its got "zip" nutritional value. Arugula lettuce is much tastier and is full of vitamin A. Besides, its pretty.

The other varieties of lettuce are better for you, but if you or your child or whomever will only eat iceberg then that's better than not eating any veges at all.

Icebreg lettuce is mostly water and used because it is a cheap and tasty filler.
Try Romaine lettuce...I think it contains a lot of iron
