keep it under control, some will use it to tease you, and they won't stop talking about it. Some of my co-workers got the boss drunk and they always talk about it. i was new, and never had drinks with them. they did this on purpose hope this helps

Generally I would say no. I have seen too many people get fired over an incident that involved drinking with coworkers on their own time. Its one thing to have a beer or two- but I wouldnt go any further than that. Unless you work at Circuit City as a stockroom person and are drinking with your stockroom buddies or something like that. But if you have a job you care about, and its at a professional level, I wouldnt do it.

Well I think you can accept one social drink with them after work and drink one and go home...never get personal with people at work..because then you may tell that one person something of your persona or family that you dont want others to know and as soon as you know he or she done spilled the beans and he or she may have not done it on purpose or didnt realize you didn't want anyone else to know and then its a mess in the work place...so arms lenght is the best... say ..goodmorning ..how are you and how is the family...and no more ,,and if they want to discuss their issues ..cut them off nicely..and changed the subject..like.. "not to change the subject or anything" ...and go on..

It is NEVER a good idea to drink with co-workers... at a party or otherwise... unless you have no desire to advance within the company... in that case... then booze ahead with your 'mates.

As long as you don't drink too much and do anything stupid. Drink away, but be careful about how much. If she doesn't like you, she'll call the cops as soon as you pull out of the driveway.

If you are offered a drink and would like to have one then accept. If you feel uneasy about it then decline gracefully and ask for a non-alcoholic drink.

Sure, have one or two.... take on a tone of maturity and class by not getting drunk. Never lose your inhabitions in front of co-workers.
