depends on how flash u want ur party,but when i think of garden parties i think of tea cups and pastries,fruit platter,decorative flowers ,nice plain crockery and silverwear,lace tablecloths and champagne with lots of finger food,women with classy clothes and big hats and heels,snobbish hot men and perhaps one ot two waiters.So in fact i what i would bring is myself in nice clothes and a boxed gift of some sort containing w.e the garden party was for like a wedding, house- warming,engagement,farewell,christening,housewarming gift.Otherwise if it was snobbish i'd just give u an envelope of cash and leave it in that envelope box people have for donations.

a bottle of champagne, some raspberries and some pomegranate juice to make cocktails with, some chocolate brownies made by my b/f (secret recipe that is DIVINE) and some fruit juice for me coz I don't drink.
