i work in a ob/gyn office in a wealthy neighborhood and alot of our patients are under the age of 16.... i would say about 40 %.... girls are maturing ,,,, meaning starting their cycle at a young age and because of LACK OF PARENTING and discipline... there out there having sex like its a game.

well theres a difference of "loosing her virginity" as in she messed around with a boy..... or got raped and her virginity was taken from her.. if thats the case then yes its sad.... did you hear about the 7 year old girl in 2003 that was raped and got pregnant and the parents of the girl didn't want her to get an abortion because of religious beliefs so they decided to raise the baby as the little girls little brother/or sister.... thats SAD!!

yes it is out there, a girl i know lost her virginity when she was 8, and no it wasn't rape, she was with a lot of guys, her parents didn't care because she was pregnant at the age of 12 and does not take care of any of her children and she has four...bad parenting well just no parenting

that is horrible. but even some of the answers are horrible as well. oye said something about how the mother should be ashamed. it probably is her mother's fault, but not JUST her mother's fault. the dad should have a part in it as well!

its sad that she lost it at such a young, but it shows how bad our society has gone. Her mother should be ashamed of herself wat was she doing when this happened, maybe she was at work or in the the back garden getting tanned!!

It sure is. I feel sorry for her and hope that she's coping alright now. I imagine it would be a traumatic experience for anyone that young. :-(

in South Africa certain tribes believe that if you rape a baby you will be cured of AIDS, it happens frequently here.
