I spent some time in SEA, saw some interesting cuisine. Got to admit the live squid is new to me, but I'm afraid I'm a typical south Texas country boy. Get me very far away from steak and potatoes, and I'm in trouble. I'd have to pass on the squid.

No, I wouldn't eat it!!

But I can't justify criticising them, because there are many people of MY nationality who believe that eating LIVE oysters is a very elegant and desirable thing to do...!!!

I don't like either - squid are nice COOKED, and oysters are irritatingly chewy - I don't want to eat things while they're still alive!! Call me squeamish if you want..! Eating prawns that were boiled alive is as far as I'm prepared to go in the 'eeeeuuughhh!!' area!

I don't think I would eat live squid. I love raw fish and have had several odd foods like eel, snails, octopus, turtle, alligator and shark. I would eat the squid after it was killed then have it swirming in my mouth while I chewed it down.

I eat a lot of different kinds of foods. But I've never tried those. And after what I read about it, I won't try it. My family comes before my tummy.

Sorry, I didn`t check out the site you gave. I saw a television show where this was referred to as "exotic" seafood.
