i had a blister on my vagina but it popped and pus came out now it looks like a red scar. I have heard of genital herpes but i don't know if this is it. Im scared and i haven't told my mom because im embarressed and scared she'll be mad at me but it itches and it smells and i get this tissue that peels off around the outside and it bothers me. Im sacared to fin out what a doctor would say. Help me please!

It might be Herpes--its a possibilty. Herpes are blisters that rupture and crust over with scabs..But I think herpes has lots of blisters--not just one. But, You Need To Go To The Doctor....Listen, do not be afraid to go to the Doctor. If you are sexually active, then its time to be responsible. As a young woman, you need routine Pap Smears (Pelvic Exams) to make sure that you dont have cancer STD's and infections...But if you are too afaid to tell your mother--then call the local Planned Parenthood and see if they will test you & your boyfriend for STD's without your parents being there. Go to their website & see if theres one in your neighborhood.

Go to your local Health Department. They will treat you with out a parents consent. You have to be seen by a DR ASAP. If it is herpes there is a med. for it called valtrex this doesn't cure it but it helps prevent out brakes. If you go untreated this will cause you serious problems down the road. Talk to your mom she maybe upset at first but in the end she will be glad you are mature enough to let her know.

It could be herpes, you can only get one to two lesions at a time, depends what kind of herpes you contracted down there, but herpes is herpes. They do breakout differently though. Go to MD.com website and get symptoms and more info, if it sounds like what you have then go get tested, if you have it, you need to be on medication and most important, you need to know. Goodluck.

you should go to the doctor and be tested for herpes. you can go to planned parenthood, but go while the sore is still an open would; if its starting to scab they can't take a culture. have them culture it, that is the only way you can know for sure whether or not its herpes. you cant know for sure from blood tests, its a tricky thing. its ok to be scared but more ppl than you would think have an std and you shouldnt be ashamed.

it doesent sound like herpes when you say on my vagina where inner lips or outer are itcould be anything from a sweat pimple or a ingrown hair if your that worried go see a doctor but when you say it is iches and has a smelly discharge i would say a pimple or small abcess or sinus. herpes actually form scabs actually the same process as getting them on your lip

From experience I can tell you that the BEST thing to do is to get tested before its too late. It seems embarrasing to you, but the doctors at a clinic see things like that everyday (so they wont be quick to judge and they dont have to tell your parents). The symptoms could get worse.....much worse.....if you wait. Do yourself a favor and get tested.
