The word translated as "apple" in most English-language bibles actaully means "pomegranite". But in Greek, the word pomegranite was often used as slang for 'Fig Newton'.

They are wonderfully delicious, but really it would be the orange, or banana, ( Jethro Kloss thought it to be the potato, - Back to Eden). The fig was to that part of the planet,, as the taco is to Mexico, This is a very good question. Is the most perfect food a vegetable, or fruit?
