Ok, I had the initial test done 5 weeks ago, used a condom this time....am I safe?

Hello,
What type of test did you take ? If you took a p24 or a pcr its very promosing...yokay..you are more safe than sorry condoms are like 90 % protective against std's...as long as it dosen't slipoff...

No, you are not out of the window period yet, you need to wait until at least 3 months (possibly 6 depending on your exposure) for an ELISA test to considered conclusive. Please talk to your Doctor, or health centre that tested you as they are better equipped to answer your questions. Your 5 week negative test is encouraging, but you could still be infected and passing it on. However, the chances are astronomically in your favor! Talk to your Doc!

if u did not wear a condom before, then i would say yes you do have alot to worry about.
