Burgundy, a new French restaurant opens in New Delhi in the government managed Ashoka hotel.

The restaurant offers French fare typical of the region of Burgundy around the Rhone valley and the chef apparently did an apprenticeship for three months in Epernay to get the cuisine right.

Some of the dishes on offer -- bisque de crevattes, vegetable potages, a variety of hors d'oeuvers like amuses bouche , tournedos de Beckti au noilly, escalopes de volaille archiduc, ravioli facon du chef, steak de fromage au herbs, crepes, flambed coffee and varieties of fondue.

The prices are five star high with a main course dish tabbed at Rs 325 and entrees at Rs 150.

For reservations and more information contact:
Ashoka, 50-B Chanakyapuri, phone: 011-6110101.
