Isn't that the best lesson that CAN be learned? JUST BE MORE CAREFUL.

nc_strawberry, i'd tell you the same thing I told Alli. I'm sory you didn't like my question. But the truth of the matter is that a lot of people (not everyone) gets an STD because they were stupid. THAT'S my point. If you're careful, you won't get one. I'm sorry you were date raped. I hope the Bas**rd payed dearly for it. But like Alli said, you can't trust everyone.

I really don't like this question. Only because "did you learn your lesson" sounds so negative.
You know children are born everyday with STDs, like HIV, is this their fault? No. They are completely innocent.
Also, a lot of the times people don't realize they have an STD, so they fail to seek proper treatment for it, and end up passing it on to someone else.
I have two STDs and I was in a faithful (so I thought) relationship with a guy for 4 years! We were planning on getting married and everything. Is this my fault he cheated on me and brought home an STD for me? Nope!
There really is no lesson to be learned here. Just be more careful and don't trust everyone.

I agree with Alli...your question is horribly stated. Having an STD does not mean you got it by engaging in risky behavior...though that is likely. What about people who are raped? Do you think they "asked for it" or that they needed to learn their lesson.
Yes, I have had an STD, but only because I trusted someone and they betrayed me...yea, it's called date rape. And the only lesson I have learned is better self defense.
So, before you ask stupid questions, why don't you think first.
