I had heard on the news not long ago that drinking about 4 cups of coffee a day would help to prevent Diabetes. Well I can't believe that becasue I was always a heavy coffee drinker(without sugar in it) And last year I was diagnoised with type 2 Diabetes. I was never much of a sweet eater like the rest of my family. So now along with the Diabetes I also have high blood pressure which the Dr says I have to switch over to decaff. So I can't believe that drinking coffee will prevent Diabetes.

Coffee is not a remedy for diabetes. However, it has been shown in clinical test that some of the chemicals in coffee and the nicotine in tobacco have had an impact on control of blood sugar. Does this mean you should smoke and drink a ton of coffee.? No. The dangers of tobacco greatly outweigh the minimal benefits it has in controlling blood sugar. Also large amounts of coffee (the amount needed to have an effect) would cause other problems such as ulcers.
On the other hand, you can drink coffee without worrying it will have any negative impact on diabetes. Just make sure you sweeten it with an artificial sweetener.
My father was a juvenile onset diabetic from the age of 7. He was involved in a number of clinical studies at the Sansum Clinic in Southern California. He drank coffee all the time.

I'm a 45 year old woman and was recently diagnosed as being a borderline diabetic. My doctor prescribed some medication, but before filling it I decided to do some research on the internet which led me to the methods. After reading this ebook and applying the methods, my scepticism turned to 100% belief. I noticed that my energy levels increased significantly and I felt more rested in the morning, my symptoms started going away.
I am very happy to tell you that I have been feeling better than I have felt in years and my doctor informed me that he will be taking me off my prescriptions if I keep this up.
I recommend you use the Type 2 Diabetes Destroyer to naturally reverse your diabetes.

First, there is no cure for diabetes right now! Second, coffee is the last thing you want to drink if your a diabetic. Coffee (caffeine) causes vasoconstriction of blood vessels. Diabetics often suffer from poor circulation because of the vasoconstrictive effects of the diabetes itself (hence amputations often seen in severe diabetics). Caffeine is also a cardiac stimulant and often times diabetics have cardiac and/or blood pressure issues. Avoid caffeine whenever possible!

Um, as a diuretic, coffee might help you flush some water out of your system which is holding extra sugar. If your diabetes is that bad, though, you'll be urinating excessively anyway. And, in any case, flushing out the body with water really doesn't help you get anywhere near a normal bloo sugar.
I would expect that coffee would be basically useless in fighting diabetes. See an endocrinologist.

Coffee is not a cure for diabetes...no cure is found yet.
Caffinated coffee can actually be harmful to someone who doesn't watch their sugar intake.
Although, if they are having problems with low sugar and are near a diabetic coma, I guess coffee might help...but I would suggest apple juice or a fruit or fruit juice instead.
Sorry that you were told that.

Abosolutely NOT coffee and caffinated products are NOT recommended for diabetics. Whoever told you that should really do some research with the American Diabetes association.
