Would you kiss a person, who had a cold sore or what may look like Herpes, on their mouth if you didn't know them?

A cold sore IS from herpes...herpes simplex virus, type 1. No, I wouldn't kiss someone if I didn't know them, particularly not if they had any sort of open sores on their mouth, because there are other transmissible diseases (besides herpes) that you can get that way.

I would never, in a million years, kiss someone who had a cold sore. A cold sore is Herpes.
You can still catch herpes from them even after the cold after the sore goes away.
