Good ol' Dutch soup & fresh buns... mmmm... perfect for cold, weekend nights.
Dutch soup is simply everything thrown together... like cut up beef/steak bits (cooked in the water to bring out the flavour), sliced celery & carrots, broken spaghetti noodles, parsley... etc. It's usually chunkier & not very watery, which is perfect.

Homemade chili would be my pick. Nice and thick, with lots of spices. With nachos and 9 layer dip.
9 layer dip..yes...use a platter, about 10inx12in
1.Spread a can of refried beans on platter, spice with onion powder and chili powder
2.Then spread a layer of salsa on top of that
3.Then spread a layer of quacamole on top of that
4.Then spread a layer of sour cream on it
5.Now a sparse layer of chopped green onions and jalepeno peppers
6.Now a layer of finely shredded lettuce
7. Now a layer of finely chopped tomatos
8. Now a layer of grated cheese, cheddar preferrably
9. Top with sliced black olives and more jalepenos
REFRIDGERATE FOR A FEW HOURS
Serve with bowl of nachos...let people dip, or give them plates to scoop the dip onto.
This dip is sinful...so good ...great for potluck parties but also great accompaniment to a great bowl of hot chili!!
