Believe it or not, you got suckered into giving out your personal info to some phishing company. they probably wanted your address, email, medical history, ss#, etc.

Nothing is ever free. There is always a price.

ps You people below me just don't get it. You think you are getting something free? Yet you wait 2 weeks or more for your insulin? Or wait until you qualify? By giving out all your personal information?

Waiting for insulin is NOT free. Not knowing when it will come is NOT free. Giving out personal information to see if you 'qualify' is NOT free. And why would anyone een expect insulin to be free?
Insulin is required to live for a diabetic. You buy this before you buy food, medical insurance or not. Sheez. You would be dead without insulin. Nothing is free. In the commercial world; there is always a motive. If insulin is acquired without paying $, it will be sub-quality or bottom of the lot, near expiration, or expired. Or the non-payed-for insulin cost is passed on to paying customers in the form of higher prices, which in a way is mooching off your fellow diabetics.

Dr Evil that is not true there are some pretty good programs out there to help us diabetics.
If you have not heard from the company yet, try asking your Doctors office for the samples of insulin they have, most have so much that they end up tossing them.Don't just ask your diabetic doctor also ask your other doctors too.
If the office does not have any ask for a "FREE" form thats a form the doctor can fill out then you give it to the drug store for free insulin. Most will not give out the syrings but some do, just keep asking the doctors office.

Yes you can get insulin free if you qualify with a certain income level.

Go to pparx.org and you can get information on how to apply for the insulin and other meds. You choose the meds that you are taking and they will give you info on what to do to get them.

My son's doctor has been giving him insulin for quite a while because he doesn't have insurance and right now he is unable to work.

We sent our forms off about 4 weeks ago and I just picked up Lantus from the doctor this week. They send it to the doctors office so you may have to call there to see when they get it because my son's doctor didn't call us. I just went in because he was almost out and they had it there.

I have also gotten insulin from the Diabetic educator at our local hospital. She has also provided us with Novolog pens and she helped us get thru the gap with some Lantus until we got ours from the doctor.

i have to add that Dr Evil is wrong, before I finally got my insurance I was getting my insulin free thru the manufacturer. It does take up to 2 weeks or so sometimes for everything to be processed & your info to be ran to make sure you qualify, but if it has been some time check w your doc to see if they have heard & also give a call back dont just wait around, you never know there could have been sometype of mix up or lost info......call em up & see what your status is!!!

I haven't heard of such a program. If you haven't heard a response, why don't you call or write to the company? And keep buying it until you RECIEVE it.

response can take several weeks. check with your doctor's office to see if they have received a response. it's summer and vacation-time slows things up sometimes. good luck.
