I just ate Chinese food and now my head feels all weird and pressurized. Everytime I eat Chinese food, for about 15 minutes afterwards, I feel weird. My head feels heavy and I feel somewhat shaky. It's nothing major, or I wouldn't keep eating it. Just wondering if it's some sort of sauce or something that maybe I wouldn't normally eat.

Migraines from msg?
I get them. I have chronic migraines.
Stop eating Chinese food, or go to a chinese resturant that has " no msg" ( even though they still have some in it) It may reduce the head shakyness or possible migraine attacks. You can have silent migraines without headache.
Check out if anything else triggers this feeling.
Chocolait? Caffine? Cheese? Processed foods? Canned soups? These are all foods that I can't eat. Check out the list below. You may want to see a doctor to be safe.

Thats MSG Shock... too much monosodium glutamate, which is a major ingredient in chinese food gives you those kind of symptoms. Next time specify NO MSG when you eat Chinese.

It could be MSG's although I don't know if they still put that in food or it could be the excessive amount of salt that is in the meat as well as the sauce to try and cover up how cheap American Chinese food really is.

I am sure it's the MSG that is usually added. You are apparently sensitive to it- a lot of people are. The next time you eat Chinese food, try asking that they not add any MSG. See if that helps you.

Whether you know it or not, Chinese food contains a lot of sodium in the form of MSG (monosodium glutamate). I've had this problem myself, and you can order your Chinese food without it.

The food you are eating may contain MSG (Monosodium Glutamate) derived from kelp. It's used to supposedly enhance a certain type of flavor called Umami.
It can cause of bunch of unpleasant sensations to people who are sensitive to it. Dizziness, nausea, digestive issues, etc.

Yes, it'll be the MSG ...!

Sorry, but I think it'd be safer for you to avoid Chinese food altogether - unless it's something simple that you cook yourself without any monosodium glutamate! (Check the labels of anything you buy, especially if you intend to cook Chinese-style with it!)
