It's very mild in taste, white and is crumbly like feta. If you've tried the loco salad at El Pollo Loco, that's what I'm thinking of. And where would I find it? regular grocery stores? Thanks!!

Sounds like anejo cheese. It's the only cheese that is mild and crumbly like feta that I can think of. I think you should be able to find it at your grocery store. My store has a specialty cheese section. Check there.

I'm not sure but there is one mexican cheese I like that an ex of mine used alot...it's called queso fresco. I've been able to find it in the grocery store here because they started incorporating "ethnic" foods. If not then some cities have little mexican grocery stores...just gotta look around for them.

That is Mexican cheese. Quetzal I think is what they call it. My wife eats it all the time. I hate it. Most small Spanish stores carry it. Market Baskets in Boston Area carry it

Brown eyed girl is right...it is queso fresco, aka ranchero cheese. The most popular brand of it in the US is called Cacique Ranchero.

Cotija. Any regular supermarket should have it in stock. In the cheese section.
