My cousin just found out that she slept with a friend and he gave her a std, it's not a major one it's just a simple one that comes back and forth. She thinks that she will never have a boyfriend again, what should I tell her?

Tell your cousin that if she's going to have sex again--she MUST USE CONDOMS to protect her from HIV, Herpes, Genital Warts, and everything else. That's number one...Next, tell her to slow down. She should stop having casual sex--since 70% of Americans have an STD. Here's what I learned: if a man is "fast" or quick to sleep with you--then that means he's slept with alot of other people, because he is "fast" to sleep with people. Tell her that she doesn't have to take her clothes of to have a good time, and that guys will probably like her more is she stops having sex, and instead offer her mind and spirit--its corny but true....Next, tell her that she MUST--I repeat--MUST GO TO THE DOCTOR AND GET A PAP SMEAR--it can save her life. When a woman is sexually active--it very, very important to get check ups and clear away any infections and STD's, and also test for cancer...And Last, you need to learn from your cousins mistakes, and wait until you are ready to get married to have sex--and test yor partner for HIV and all STD's before you marry him. Yeah, yeah--I know its corny because everybody wants to be sexy, but whats sexy is Purity, Peace of Mind, Love, and a Clean private part. STD's--not sexy.
Peace

A simple STD that comes back and forth???? There is no such, Dawg! I don't know what you and your friend have been told on the streets, but no doctor told her what you have said above. First of all you need to tell her to get herself cleaned up and rid of the STD and give her vagina a break and abstain until the STD is completely gone. That is how epidemics spread!!!! Then you tell her to keep a large supply of condoms and don't do the deed unless she has a raincoat. I can't believe in this day and age, with all the information kids are getting in school, on TV and so on, that this is still going on. I guess there are always going to be people who don't care enough for themselves to protect themselves....I wish you the best. STAY in school...you all need it!!

What do you mean by not a major STD? She should go to her doctor or a local clinic if she hasn't gone by now. She should protect herself and use a condom all the time. If someone has an STD it increases that person's risk for getting HIV. Tell her not to worry, she can still have a boyfriend.

USE PROTECTION !!!!!! There are alot of people who live the rest of their lives with stds and have a pretty normal life,so don't worry she will get over the shock of finding out she has one.Time heals all wounds.

Tell her to use protection, next time it might be HIV. Having unprotected sex nowadays is like playing russian roulette. Never mind HIV, HPV is the major cause in cervical/vaginal cancer and most people don't know they have it.

Uh, no std is simple, especially one that comes and goes. Herpes, Warts? She needs to be honest with future partner and insist on him using protection.
