Symptoms of heart attack are unique to each person. Yes, you can have a heart attack and and no pain at all. Women often complain of heartburn and stomach upset. Sometimes the left side of the back aches slightly. Diabetics often have heart attacks without noticeable pain. Left arm pain associated with a heart attack is usually relieved with rest. Chest pain or arm pain can be a symptom of heart attack but it sounds like yours is more positional. As always, check with a doctor. If you experience sweating, nausea or vomiting, or chest pressure with the arm pain, dial 911. Take 2 aspirin, take nitroglycerin if you have it, and get to the ER.

The elderly, women, and diabetics mostly will have silent heart attacks. The moderation in pain leads me to think that you may be having vasospasms in the blood vessels in your arm. Heart attacks present as a numbness/tingling in the arm usually the left, aching in the jaw, pain the shoulders or indigestion however the one thing that is common with all these is that it persists and nothing makes it better or worse. Since you are able to reproduce the pain it could be a vasospasm or just muscular pain. Either way you should follow up with your physician just to make sure that what you are feeling isn't serious.

Check out this at the hospital without delay! If you are here reading this now, you have waited possibly too long. There are other causes for left arm pain like this, but the first thing to get checked out is heart. Especially if you are a woman. Women have different symptoms for heart attacks than men.

is this the first time? does it start to hurt on exertion or at rest? how old are you? male? other medical problems in the past? diabetes? cholesterol? high blood pressure? parents that had strokes or heart attacks?
the answer to your question is yes, you can have a HA with no pain or just a slight pain in the left or even right arm
this does not mean that you have one or that you suffer from angina, as you can see many questions have to be answered, along with EKG and blood tests if the physician thinks it is necessary

You should have this check out at your gp's to be on the safe side. People have had various symptoms when they had a myocardial infarction. Some have a discomfort in the throat area, clammy, restrosternal chest pain, with of course left arm pain (but not always), shortness of breath, diarrhoea.

Yes. Heart attack can occur only with pain in left arm,or without any pain. Varients occur in severe diabetics and alcoholics.Pain unrelated to exertion and related to posture is not from heart.

Hello,
I'm a medical researcher. Neuropathy is not a single disease instead, it is a complication found in a number of different underlying medical conditions. Seek medical care right away if you notice any unusual tingling, weakness or pain in your hands or feet. Early diagnosis and treatment offers the best chance for controlling your symptoms and preventing further damage to your peripheral nerves. If your symptoms interfere with your sleep or you feel depressed, your doctor or pain specialist may be able to suggest treatments that can help.

A good natural program I recommend to help you cure your neuropathy can be found here http://www.goobypls.com/r/rd.asp?gid=569
Cheers.

It is possible for a person to have a heart attack (Myocardial Infarction) with pain on the left arm only. An example is a diabetic person who has diabetic neuropathy. Please treat this situation seriously and go to the nearest Emergency Room so you can be diagnosed properly through 12Lead Electrocardiogram and checking out your cardiac serum markers to confirm or rule out myocardial infarction.

Get a check up as heart attacks can be painless...my sister was only breathless...couldn't breathe in or out. I have heard some people only have a pain in their jaw or arm. Get checked for peace of mind.
