most of the vegetables which are wrapped by banana leaves remains fresh for a longer period as compaired to those other green leaves vegetables which are wrapped by other leaves cannot keep fresh. Or in other words green vegetables wrapped by papers or other plastics too cannot keep it fresh for long and so would like to know, if it is because of presence of som organism in banana leaves please comment. thank you.

No it not any organism, it gas! Banana plants have loads of ethylene gas which as it is given off displaces the surrounding air delaying spoilage.

no organism can make this possible.but the banana leaves contain a sticky liquid which penetrtes into the banana and keeps it fresh for many days.

I have not heard of using banana leaves for storing raw vegetables or fruit. I have seen them for wrapping flowers or garlands.This site may be of interest to you.

banana leave has lot of moisture in it also it has power of inhaling the oxygen from the atmosphere, so the air inside remains somewhat like refrigerator,
