I was at the barber shop and he was shaving my face with some clippers, he went over a hair bump on my cheek and it bust. I was bleeding but none was coming out. I did not notice it until i got home when i cleaned it out with hydrogen peroxide. Do I have anything to worry about?

Hello,

There has to be a blood to blood transfer. When hiv is exposed in the air, it gets weaker that means less chance of infection.

This is a very, very low risk i wouldn't worry about this. But if you are in doubt and to stop worrying and so as to not be stressed i would say have the test so just you'll know.

And if you do, have a general test, because there are other things than can be causght not just Hiv/Aids.

THE HIV VIRUS HAS TO ENTER YOUR BLOOD STREAM. IF YOU HAD AN OPEN CUT AND THE CLIPPERS HAD BLOOD ON THEM FROM AN HIV POSITIVE PERSON THEN YES IT IS MY UNDERSTANDING YOU COULD HAVE SOMETHING TO WORRY ABOUT. WORRY MORE IF AN HIV POSITIVE PERSON USED YOUR TOOTH BRUSH. IF YOU HAVE BLEEDING GUMS AND THE OTHER PERSON HAD HIV, THEN WORRY. IT IS THE EXCHANGE OF BODILY FLUIDS THAT YOU WORRY ABOUT.
