No you need skin to skin contact with a person who has the herpes virus or you need to have sex with someone who has the herpes virus. You can get it other ways, like through childbirth, but this is more rare.
You can NOT get herpes from a toilet seat, sharing a shower with someone, or from a mattress.
You can get cold sores (herpes simplex virus 1) from sharing lip stick or chap stick with someone who has the virus, and kissing someone with cold sores.
But, no, you will NOT get herpes (genital or cold sores) from a mattress.

herpes is a viral infection .when immunity levels are low ,one can get it from any source containing the pathogen which could be even your mattress.

no not at all !
no you cant the virus dosent live outside a host long , you need to be rubbing and have openwound or rubbing the wet fluid /shedding in your skin .
Its called sexually transmitted for a reason!!!
not sexually mattress/ towels/ toiletseat transmitted
