people are always saying its ok to kill animals because they dont really have anything to live for. they have familys and children also and they have a functioning brain, so they are able to feel pain like any human. why do people assume that just because they are not able to communicate the same ways as we do they are not worth as much. what makes humans higher beings than animals. i never got why people think we are soo much better so please help me out!!

It's because we have guns, and since we have guns and are able to shoot animals, we think we are better.

But think about it. I want to see someone try to kill a cow without a gun, no make it a tiger. That's something recorded!

But back to the point. Since people think that they are smarter than animals, they also think they have the right to kill them. Though if you think about it cows don't kill cows, and pigs don't beat up other pigs. Humans do. So they may not be as smart as humans, but they sure know how to live without hate, death, violence.

Just think, what if you were shut up in a crate your entire life and then killed because someone wanted to eat you, because they think you are tasty. People may think that we were made to eat other animals, but where are you're facts that we are?

Do animals have feelings? Absolutely. Do they value their children and family? I think some species do and some do not.

Is it OK to kill animals? I think so. All animals have their own advantage in nature. Rabbits can run, deer have sight, hearing and smell, bears have smell and hearing, etc. Humans have the ability to use tools. Their ability to use tools have allowed them to rise to the top of the food chain. Right or wrong, whoever is on top dictates the future for those underneath.

I have no problem eating a steak or hunting deer. What I have a problem with is the lack of respect some people have for animals by wasting food and throwing food away. If an animal died for me, the least I can do is not waste it.

The other thing I hate personally is that people seem to think that a package of ground beef comes that way. One of the strangest things I saw was when I was with my brother at a state fair. We were looking at cows and he walked up to a calf and said "what a cute little T-bone". People were disgusted. I guess they don't think that cute little cow is going to become a steak, a McDonald's burger, and a baseball glove.

I don't know why people can't see the expressions on animals' faces. You can tell when a dog is happy. Animals morn the loss of their friends and family. I think it helps people sleep at night to pretend that animals don't feel anything. I think the way we've gone to "farm raised" salmon, chicken, beef is just terrible. If you are what you eat and you eat a so called "farmed" animal you have a tortured soul. I believe that animals should live a natural life and not be injected with hormones, antibiotics, and what ever else. They should live as nature intended. I do eat meat and I think there's a happy medium, ie support local farms who love and raise free range chickens.

Ask him if he can scientifically tutor his personal thoughts!!!! And if one way or the different he comes up with procedures, those is also utilized to animals. for sure animals have thoughts, I hate it that individuals purely anticipate that they don't purely because they could't tutor them in words. And bodily, they received't tutor them an similar way (e.g. giggling, crying) because they're outfitted otherwise (e.g. they're given tails, portable ears). Animals produce different procedures of expressing happiness or sadness and so on. and so on. - it is all about body language. there is an quite observed distinction between a horse who's satisfied to be outdoors, taking area in in it is paddock, tail held extreme, ears pointing ahead, jumping round, and a horse who's ignored or in soreness, which will let it is head draw close down, ears to the aspect or the decrease back, tail cramped. a contented cat will tutor an similar; tail held extreme, whiskers ahead, ears too. An aggravated cat will flick his tail. An offended cat will flatten his ears, puff it is coat and so on. A canines received't smile because it isn't any longer "outfitted" to grin- a canines will wag his tail instead. Many animals are popular to grieve even as they lose an in intensity one, no longer purely elephants yet cats too. As for soreness specially, you could witness a reaction once you damage an animal- and under no circumstances only that, it is going to bear in mind too- I purely defined to someone that a cat with kidneystones may actual no longer use the litterbox back, by using soreness it experienced there. Any animal that has ever been hit will duck the subsequent time a hand comes its way- and in many circumstances for a lengthy time period after- in all probability no longer because it did not experience it. Your biology instructor is an fool.

im sure an animal, given the chance (and i been there 2 see this happen) would totally care about us when it kills and eats us, or our children. till u have liven amongst wild animals and they havebeen a real threat then maybe take your head out of your a** and grow up. imma go shoot me a deer this fall because i know it aint gonna give a damn that i have a child or a family and it will attack me given the chance, same as a tiger would eat me if it seen me. plus animals r low on our food chain, certain animals were put here 4 us 2 eat.

I think its because many people are not close to animals and just don't take the time to understand that they do have feelings they can be afraid just like us..they get happy like us..they also do get shy...so they do have feelings..just like us people. Just because they can't speak like us doesn't mean they have no feelings, a cat or a dog can show much love to you if you let them. They will sit by you and be freinds with you! Dog and cats have save lifes of people at one point or another...! Many dogs knows babies are prone to dangers and they help there owners sometimes. So animals are very smart!

Im deffinetly agreeing w/ you on the fact that ppl are really cruel to animals on farms and such, but i believe we should fight for HUMAN rights first. i personally do not eat meat regulary but not b/c im vegan. if we were to say that any animal that eats another animal is wrong (if we were to say humans were animals) then should we hate the sharks that eat the little fish, or the lion that eats the zebra? My advice to you, is yes, have compassion for the mistreatment of milk places, and farms, etc. but there are women being sold to prostitution, and children still beaten, so focus on saving the human race first.

Yes, I believe they have feelings, but I don't believe in being vegetarian myself. If the reason to be vegetarian is because animals have feelings, then what is to become of all the meat eaters here on earth? Lions, wolves, etc. etc. The big power that runs this place (call it God if you will) created the food chain for a reason.

I agree it's wrong to kill animals. Although, I'm not sure about the emotions part, maybe some species show some signs of it. But I think that animals react strictly on instinct.

We are actually not at the top of the food chain. We have many predators. Animals kill as it is their inbuilt survival instinct.
Meat eaters choose to think animals have no feelings or any other purpose in life as they are small minded and enjoy eating meat.
It is sad and I see the ongoing debate as to whether we are omnivores or herbivores.
I choose to be a herbivore, no animal deserves to suffer needlessly for my benefit.
