Yes, it's not only possible, it sounds like she inadvertently gave you a case of the herpes. It could be Simplex 1, it could never show up again, although it is a permanent resident in your body now. I've had herpes for over ten years and while I've had several genital outbreaks over that time span, none was nearly as bad as the first. If you start to feel a slightly painful itch in a spot of your penis, you might be getting ready to have a breakout. Since you're married and your wife gave it to you (and if she went down on you with a coldsore on her mouth I'm sure you had sex afterwords so she's most likely already got it too), you both ought to make sure to check each other's privates out for each other, if one of you feels like something's not feeling altogether right in your nether regions. I wouldn't get mad at your wife for this--sounds like you were both just really ignorant about herpes, and if she had known I'm sure she wouldn't have gone down there. Don't assume she got it in a suspicious way, because herpes simplex 1 can be contracted by just sharing a drink with a broken out person.
It's not the end of your sex life. Just be thankful you're already married and able to discover how to live with herpes together. I'm guessing that most of us who live with herpes are single, and it's a little harder to find an understanding partner--NOT impossible, just a little harder.

Genital herpes is a sexually transmitted disease (STD) caused by the herpes simplex viruses type 1 (HSV-1) and type 2 (HSV-2). Most genital herpes is caused by HSV-2. Most individuals have no or only minimal signs or symptoms from HSV-1 or HSV-2 infection. When signs do occur, they typically appear as one or more blisters on or around the genitals or rectum. The blisters break, leaving tender ulcers (sores) that may take two to four weeks to heal the first time they occur. Typically, another outbreak can appear weeks or months after the first, but it almost always is less severe and shorter than the first outbreak. Although the infection can stay in the body indefinitely, the number of outbreaks tends to decrease over a period of years. Herpes is a common, recurrent infection caused by the herpes simplex virus (HSV), of which there are two subtypes: HSV-1 and HSV-2. Both HSV-1 and HSV-2 can cause blisters and ulcers on the mouth, face and genitals, or around the anus. Once a person is infected with herpes, he or she remains infected for life. However, the virus often remains "latent" and does not cause symptoms for long periods of time

Yes, it's possible that she transferred it to your penis. You now have genital herpes. It's a virus and you'll have it for the rest of your life. Each person is different, so you may or may not have another outbreak.

It is oh so possible! You never NEVER have gential contact with someone with cold sores because it is a form of herpes. I would go to the doctor if i were you. Good luck

a "cold sore" is really a stran of herpes... and by going down on you with it.. and now you have a sore... that means you now have genital herpes... go to your doctor and get meds for it (but first have sex with your wife and give that ***** a dose of her own herpese... why should you be the only one with genital herpes)
