You must have a doctor say that your diabetes is unconrtollable and there must be a reason for this uncontrolability. If you have another medical problem you may have a better chance of getting disability. I know that I have no warning system at all, no sweats, dizzyness or anything to warn me, sI also have bad kidney problems. i was born with only 1 and it doesnt fuction all the time. I hope you dont have all these problems, but if you do try. If not go to work.

Why go on disability? Type ! diabetes can be managed successfully. I know it's a rough road to travel, but many people with Type 1 manage to live a normal life.

per the social security administration, Diabetes is NOT a disability, I tried to see if I could get a partial disability to help me out w my medical expenses & this is what I was told...unless you are 100% disabled and cannot work AT ALL they will not give you disability for diabetes......I can work & Ill be damned if Id say that I cant & if you are trying to say that your too lazy to work & to try to keep you sugars in control than I honestly dont think you deserve disability anyways...Im not trying to be mean but there are a lot of people out there who will try to milk the system & use use their diabetes ilke a crutch to get people to feel sorry for them & this sickens me to NO extent!! so if you are truely taht bad off & honestly need monthly support than I appologize if I offended you but if not then you should be asshamed of yourself for being such a lazy turd

I don't think you can get on Disability because of diabetes..

It can be controlled, its only life threatening if you don't take care of yourself....I think you may be out of luck.

I dont see how having diabeites would qualify you for disability.
But what you need is a referal from your primary care doctor.
