I would definitely go to the doctor and have them refer you to a Diabetic Foot Specialist. Ulcers on the feet can be very dangerous and could lead to amputation if not treated.

My mom, who is a diabetic, had what started out as a callous on the bottom of her foot, and she never had it checked out until it was too late. She developed a staph infection, which nearly killed her, put her in the hospital for nearly 2 weeks, and the infection ate her tissue from bottom to top leaving a gaping hole in her foot. She has been off work for over 2 years because it has taken this long to heal, no to mention the other complications that arose from this situation. At one point she required to have a Pic-Line implanted because she needed to have IV antibiotics(she developed oral antibiotic resistance). When the Pic-Line was removed, she developed a massive blood clot in the arm which took months of blood thinners to get rid of.

And all because she didn't want to go to the doctor. The doctors told her it was a miracle that they didn't have to amputate the leg.

It's not worth it, go see the doctor.

See a doctor NOW!!! Do not wait! Normally with diabetic ulcers, you may have a dressing change with a medication applied daily. Or you may have to go to wound care therapy which could include a whirlpool bath for the foot. It just depends on the stage of the wound and if there is any infection. Please do not apply neosporin or any peroxide to the area. Keep it clean, and dry and covered until you see your doctor. Elevate the foot to prevent further erosion.....you could lose your leg if you don't go to the doctor immediately.

NEVER, EVER soak your foot with an ulcer. We've seen a number of patients who've actually made themselves much worse by soaking.

Try to find a good wound center, one that looks at the cause of the ulcer and doesn't just treat the ulcer.

Everyone suggesting you see a Doctor is right on target. Even minor foot sores, cuts, splinters, or puncture wounds can evolve into amputations even when treated. This really is serious stuff, some iodine and a band-aid may be the answer for a lot of folks but not for a diabetic.

have you tried to do a foot soak. soak your foot in warm water with apple cider vinegar added. the more the better.
pat your feet dry when done and prop it , don't let anyone bump it or step on it. try for 2 days, if it is not better you should go to the doctor , you don't want gang green, diabeetics lose there feet because of problems like this, when the wound becomes infected and untreatable.
