Unfortunately, nothing anyone can say on yahoo answers is going to make you feel any better. Just continue to maintain a healthy lifestyle (no smoking - not even every once in a while!!) and, while no-one can give you a 100% guarantee, you should be fine.

Just enjoy your life while you have it!

You have a one in a million chance of having a heart attack. You need to understand what a "heart attack" is. The muscle of your heart is supplied with blood from arteries that are on the outside of your heart. It doesnt get anything from the blood thats flowing through the inside. When one of those arteries on the outside gets blocked, a section of your heart doesnt get any blood. Since blood carries oxygen, that means that section doesnt get any oxygen and will die. If the section that dies is big enough, the heart wont work anymore.
Those arteries are usually blocked in one of two ways.
The most common occurs when a lifetime of eating high fat food with a lot of cholesterol creates narrowing of those arteries on the outside of your heart. Think of it like the drain under your sink. After a while, the inside of the pipe can get lined with goop so the water cant drain. The same thing can happen to the arteries around your heart.
The second occurs when one of those arteries is suddenly plugged with a chunk of fat or a blood clot that is floating around.
In either case, a person that is 19 years old hasnt had time to build up all the fatty deposits in your arteries that cause heart attacks.
Ive been a paramedic for about 6 years, and Ive never seen a person under 30 have a heart attack, and its not common untill the 40's or 50's.
Not trying to make you worry about something else, but you have a hell of a lot better chance of dying in a car accident or something like that than you do of having a heart attack.

Stress is an amazing thing and can truly reek havoc on you both mentally and physically. Has your doctor alarmed you about your blood pressure or is this your own fear? What is normal for one person can be abnormal for another. Educate yourself on BP control and get yours checked frequently to see 140/60 is "your" normal. Do what you can and all that you can but life is too short to worry about what may or may not happen. Enjoy and appreciate every day you are blessed with.

Generally the answer is that you are too young. But it can happen though the chances are slim that it will. The best thing to do is to know the signs and symptoms of a heart attack and watch for them. Just don't spend your life waiting for a hear attack, live your life, have fun, and if you really need to talk to your doctor about your worries.

You're fine. Most 19 year olds have such a low risk of heart attacks that it's almost unheard of unless they are in extremely poor health. But you sound like you're in great health! I'm 20 and you're probably in better shape then me, and my doctor says I'm perfectly healthy. Just enjoy life, stay healthy, and don't worry so much about heart attacks! If anything, worrying about it too much will increase your blood pressure and could increase your chances of a heart attack. But don't worry about worrying either.

If you're really concerned about it, make sure you see your doctor once a year for a general check-up and let him tell you about your blood pressure and other health factors. You'll be fine. :-)

If you work out and keep physically active while eating right....you are okay. You may want to ease on the smoking if you do it excessively.
Just don't stress yourself about it, cause that can aid in your chances of having one.

Enjoy life and take a day at a time!

what you are too young for doesn't amount to a hill of beans if you don't take better care of yourself, stop smoking, that WILL lead to heart attack as you age.

though theres no age for heart disease but everything seems alright in your case. otherwise you can get your lipid profile done (lipid profile test) and that will clear the thing. check if your LDL level is not higher than 100.
