i always go BIG for my lil boys b-day party. I used a cake artist last year but lost her number. Im in need of a pirate ship shaped cake this year. Going big! I live in phoenix arizona so anyone from here that knows of anyone please let them know?? its in september

you'd be surprised, but try the grocery store. I'm not saying buy the cake there, but go to the bakery and discreetly ask around the the pastry staff. Most of the time you'll find pastry chefs who are just starting out and haven't developed a great enough reputation to go out on their own yet! Then you can hire them to do your cake on the side! (That's how I found the woman who baked my wedding cake... it was FABULOUS and since she wasn't well known around town yet, it was a lot less pricey than the others!) Good luck!!
