Ensalada de Pulp. Octopus salad.
You can buy the octopus frozen, they are usually cleaned out well. Rinse it in cold water, remove head only. The rest is edible.

3lbs octopus
1 whole garlic, chopped
1 TBS oregano
2 TBS of Adobo, or garlic and onion powder.
1 large onion
1 can of corn
1 can of green beans, or fresh if you prefer them fresh.
1 TBS red wine vinegar
Vegetable oil. (as desired)

In a sauce pan, add entire Octopus, add half of the onion, all of the garlic, oregano, adobo.

Bring to a fast boil, then let simmer for approximately 45 minutes.
Drain and rinse lightly.

Cut the octopus into small round slices and add to a salad bowl.
Add the corn, green beans, and rest of onion. Sprinkle some adobe, then add vinegar, and oil. Try adding a teaspoon of oil at a time, don't want it too oily.

Let it cool in fridge for half hour, then taste for seasoning. You may add more adobo if desired, or a little salt. Whichever you prefer.

Feijoda Completa - This is the most famous Brazilian Cuisine dish. It is an assortment of meats such as smoked tongue, jerked and fresh beef, pork, smoked and fresh sausages, and pigs' feet and ears. These foods are arranged on a platter and accompanied by side dishes of black beans, rice, shredded kale, hot chili sauce, and orange slices. Manioc meal (ground cassava root) is then sprinkled over practically everything.
And you drink either very cold beers or Caipirihas!(lemon, sugar, and Brazilian cahacha(White Rum)

Rice and beans, of course! MY rice and beans. I'm an honorary Latina by marriage and even my mother in law says my beans are bueno! (I got it off the can of pink beans and then added a little here and there.)
