I remember in thr begining of my junior year which was september 2005...when I breathed I had this sharp chest pain, that went from my chest to stomach, I felt as if I was dying, I got so pale, I had circles around my eyes, I couldn't even stand up I felt like I was getting a heart attack...i was sitting in the nurse's office for 1 hour and a half or 2 hrsfeeling so much pressure, I had to be sent from the nurse to the principle's office, I couldn't even stand up, I felt like I was dying while walking there, I had to walk all limpy and I wanted to cry... they wanted to call 911 but I said no I'll be OK, I didn't want my parents to get scared. Well that wasn't the first time that it happened, but that was the worst. I didn't get it anymore but I do get sharp pains that last around 2 minutes..I just would like to know what the hell was it? I know you would tell me to go to the doctor, but they don't say much, and my mother just won't understand...and I'm too scared...What the hell was it

Yes, you can have a variety of different heart defects when you're a kid -- most of them congenital (i.e. you were born with them). If you are overweight/obese, you could also have the beginnings of heart disease.

However, what you're describing could be caused by a variety of things, and you REALLY need to talk to your parents and see a doctor as soon as possible. Your parents are tougher than you think they are -- don't risk your life just because you don't want to upset your mother. I can tell you, she'd MUCH rather worry than grieve.

Please don't wait any longer to see a professional about this.

See your Doctor! I think it may just be stress but YES heart attacks can happen to any age person. Many football players have had sever heart problems and some have died.
Weight is not always the reason, you can appear perfectly fit and have Heart trouble.
Also, your symptoms could also be from your Gall Bladder. You may be passing gall stones. I had this happen to me and it took 2 years before the right Doctor discovered it was my Gall Bladder. I also thought I was having a heart attack and could barely talk when the attacks happened. No position was comfortable to ease the pain. They will become more frequent and certain foods will aggravate it. See your Doctor!

normally someone so young will not have a heart attack, however in this day in age with so much obesity, it is becoming increasingly more common. you may have a serious heart condition, though so call your doctor!! do you think your parents would worry more if they knew you had a treatable condition, of if you were dying in the hospital because you were too scared to tell anyone about these pains you are having!!! call your doctor!!

It is very unlikely that yours is a heart trouble. Your symptoms suggest a colicky pain and it may be due to a simple gas trouble or even may be stomach or small intestine torsion or gall bladder stones. assessing by your symptoms, i think there is nothing grave to worry about. If you are getting it repeatedly you should consult a general medicine specilaist first and do certain investigations to rule out these problems. Heart attacks are not common in that age group.

It sounds like you had a really bad stitch, nothing to worry about. People don't have heart disease at 16 or 17, it has been known for teenagers and even children to suffer spontaeneous cardiac arrest, but it's VERY rare and most likely related to genetic condition that weakens the heart.

You need to go to a doctor who will check out your cardiac functions;this means get another doctor. You could be suffering from something as simple as an anxiety attack,or you could be experiencing angina ,and need to find the cause.
Heart problems are something that you need to take seriously. My family has a history of heart disease,so please take me seriously when I say go to an emergency room if you are experiencing chest pains;to not do so can be fatal.

Yes there are rare conditions as seen in the atheletes that have dropped dead on the court.

And also the use of crack will cause a heart attack and sometimes the very first time using it.

It is entirely possible to have a heart problem in your teens. Please go to your doctor. Although your symptoms sound a little more like costochondritis to me. Costochondritis is a benign inflammatory disease of the cartilage in your rib cage. Its pretty common and unlike heart disease its symptoms are sporadic and not necessarily linked to exercise. Whatever the cause, you need to go and see a doctor. Tell your parents, they will understand and be just as concerned as you are.

You could have a form of heart disease and should be concerned. No, they do not say much but there are several tests available that would be able to tell you what happened.
