I don't know about Belgian choc. I don't think that would make any difference. Check the manual. Some of them require you to melt the choc first (like in the microwave) and others have the ability to melt the choc right in the fountain. Also, if you are using chocolate other than those made specifically for choc fountains, most of the time you have to add oil. I don't know how much but you could probably google "chocolate fountain instructions" and see if that helps. Good luck!

Heat the chocolate first. make sure the machine is hot before adding your chocolate. And just for information's sake it is recomended that you add a cream to your chocolate when using it in a fountain. Chocolate tends to stay a little to consistent to actually work in many of the fountains.

It has to be really thinned out. It can't go through the holes if it is thick/ the chocolate almost looks watery.

I can't believe these people have not heard of a chocolate fountain.
Aren't they displayed in the middle isle of almost every department store or WalMart from here to Alaska?? lol...
btw..they cost around 40.00 for those who want one.

You have to add oil. The exact measurements are in the instructions of the fountain. You actually have to dilute the chocolate with a fair amount of vegetable oil.

The chocolate does not make a difference. I've seen several and they don't flow very well and smell burnt after a few minutes.

You have to melt it first, and also thin it down.
Make sure the room is not too cold either. I tried to use one on Friday night, but cos we had the doors open and draft flowing through it just made it set again really quickly!
