I like sushi. It feels great to try something new. Especially something that originated hundreds of years ago thousands of miles away, (from where I am anyway).

I love sushi. My mom is currently in Seattle and writes me everyday about her sushi adventures. I'm jealous, because I live in Colorado. It's not ocean fresh when it gets here. Sushi always puts a smile on my face even if I've had the worst possible day.

Cuban food! Most people assume it's like Mexican, but it's very different.

Fried plantains are my favorite to fix (you know the weird looking banana fruit you see in the grocery store).

I am of Cuban heritage... but I have had to learn to cooked it on my own through trail and error.

Yaki nori, sticky white rice and sweet red bean cake.
If you want to try something really different, look up a recipe for FuFu or HUMMUS
