Herpes zoster or shingles can be a rash all over your body. People usually get it from being exposed to someone who has chicken pox.

Herpes zoster is not spread by sex, and as long as he came in contact with someone who's had chickenpox before he can get it. Chicken pox can lay dormant for decades.

He should really see a doctor if it is bothering him.

I've had that once happen 2 me, but it wasn't an STD it was a staph infection. Dr's don't know a whole lot about it cuz it's something rare, however people don't just get tested 4 staph, so if nothing show's up in any of his test I would have him tested 4 staph and it's also a deadly disease if it dosen't get treated rt. I'm not saying that this is what he has or anything just giving a suggestion if everything comes out neg
