There are different types of vegetarians. Some eat eggs and milk, some will just drink milk, and vegans will eat no animal products. The best thing to do is stick with milk (remember no animals are harmed) and start eating more beans and nuts. THese provide good fats and some protein. You should take a multivitamin too just to get the vitamins you are lacking from the missing foods.

You can choose to be either a vegetarian or a vegan.
A vegetarian is someone who doesn't eat meat...just that.
If you're a vegetarian you can eat anything besides meat.
A vegan is someone who doesn't eat meat AND any type of animal product. Vegans don't eat eggs, they don't drink milk [since it comes from cows...they don't even eat things like Cheetohs...because the cheese powder was made with milk, etc]...their diet is limited much, much more.

I am a vegetarian and I eat alot of good foods.
Soy Nuggets (like Chicken Nuggets), Veggie Burgers, Fruits, Veggies, Eggs, Milk, Cheese, Breads, Pastas with Veggies on top. In the grocery store you can get alot of meatless stuff. They have meatless bacon now even. Cool huh? I get protein by eggs and beans. Have fun being a Vegetarian!

There's protein in beans and stuff. And yes you can eat eggs, dairy etc. If you don't then you are a vegan, which is different to being a vegetarian.
Good luck it's easy once you find out a bit more.

I think if you taper off meat, instead of just quiting all meat, you'll have better success at achieving your goal. Start with Cow's. once you have eliminated Cow's from your diet, your body can begin adjusting to metabolizing other proteins better.
I'm amazed at how much better I feel since I stopped eating Cow's. I have so much more energy, and my cholesterol level has dropped 50 points. Also my blood pressure is now back to normal and I have a better memory. Please read the information I have provided in the link below. I will change your life, at the very least it will change the way you think about Cow's. I call them Cow's because beef is a friendly meat name that just isn't right. Other meat like fish and chicken I still eat, but I'm very picky about where they come from and how they are handled and cooked. Good luck. Excellent question.

There are people who eat cakes, pastries, ice cream, all kinds of cheeses in salad, mac and cheese, cheese pizza, milk chocolate, custard, yogurt, nachos, cheese enchiladas and anything rich and creamy and cheesy. This diet can still be considered a strict vegetarian diet because it does not include dead flesh of any sort. Eggs are pushing it because they are unborn baby chicken fetus.
There are also vegans who try to avoid all animal products on a whole. Including no milk, milk fat, or cheese (otherwise called cow puss). We use other foods to build our bodies and get our proteins like lots of different beans and nuts. There are all sorts of soy products on the market that provide you protein and have great flavors and textures. Look in the freezer isles of all grocery stores for vegan dairy free sausages, burgers, chicken patties, meatless meatballs, taco meat, hot dogs, milk, etc. There are vegan snacks like all types of jerky, ice cream, candy bars, desserts, dark chocolate, etc.
The only change of life that will go on is you have to take a minute to read the ingredients list on food and monitor and avoid animal fats and other animal product intake. And the fact that you will look, feel, and be a lot healthier.

yes! as long as is not meat like pork or any other meat. My friend is a vegetarian and she eats vegetables, pastas, bread, eggs, soups (made of vegetables). She usually conbines salads w/ pasta. Or eats some soups w/ bread. So if you do something like that you should be getting proteins while being a vegetarian.

My daughter is vegetarian. She eats a lot of fruits and vegetables during the day. She makes sure to get protein too because she works out. She has two eggs a day and peanuts. She eats a lot of raisens, yogurt, applesauce and drinks quite a bit of water. She drinks chocolate milk for calcium. She prefers applesauce and raisens in the morning alternate with cereal, milk, fruit x2. Lunch is either a salad with raisens, carrots, two eggs, Ceasar Dressing, chici beans, cukes. and milk and at supper she eats yogurt with peanuts and raisens in it and whatever vegies I have with our meal, fruit x2 and the fruit includes a banana for potassium. She also likes cheese which gives her calcium. Fruits consist of bananas, necterines, apples, raisens, tomatoes, and every once in a while she has a cookie.
She chose this diet because she had a weight problem and she lost 35 lbs and is now 5 ft. 104 lbs. She works out in the gym 3 times a week and runs five miles a week. I think she looks terrific.

nicely, it relies upon on what you eat. I propose, you ought to easily have ice cream on a daily basis, or you'll have vegetable soup, for example. It also relies upon on how a lot meat you ate formerly. Say you had a million steak the different day. in a unmarried week (in simple terms estimating the following) you ought to have ate about 900 energy. Going vegetarian, you does no longer have ate 900 extra energy, so convinced, you ought to shed extra pounds. in simple terms to inform you about what you're doing, you'll have abdomen pains in the start, in all likelihood from replace of weightloss software. Cranberry juice makes it flow away, believe me!
