I have invited about 20 people to a party. I know how much food I should buy but what about drinks? Soda...not alcohol.

buy 4 different flavors and a 12 pack of each should be good so everyone can have about 2 drinks. if this is going to be an outdoor party then maybe more since its so hot. maybe make some lemonade too for people who dont want a lot of pop. Kool Aid is cheap too.

It all depends on what kind of party it is. If it is a casual, laid back kind of party then there is always hot dogs and hamburgers. I would say at least 4 lbs of hb meat and maybe 3 packages of hot dogs. You get 30 dogs that way and at the very least 25 hamburgers. That should be more than enough for everyone. On the lines of sodas, you can go to a store such as Sam's Club and buy their off brand (same goes for Wal-Mart) which can help out your budget TREMENDOUSLY. If these are close friends and family there is also the old "If you want to bring something go ahead" idea. However, that is all up to you. Good luck and have a great party!

Expect at least two drinks per guest...if you think you can get 6-7 glasses out of a 2 liter soda, you'll need about 7 bottles to be on the safe side.

Well you can't go wrong with 2 or 3 flats of 24 cans of different pop. Ice tea in a pitcher is great too

4 liters diet mt dew
i jug cranberry juice
1 jug lemonade
1 tub rainbow sherbet
mix drinks together in a big punch bowl and scoop sherbet on the top: voila! party punch!
