A handful of nuts, preferably unsalted, is recommended each day. Over and above that they can be fattening.
All nuts have benefits.

Nuts are high calorie, but very healthy. I wouldn't snack on them all day though, you just don't need that many nuts.
The healthiest nuts are stuff like walnuts and almonds.
Nuts with low nutritional values are peanuts and cashews. Too bad those are the yummiest ones. :( Still, all nuts are relatively healthy, but eat in moderation.

Well, nuts are very healthy but it's not healthy to snack on all day because nuts are very high in calories and FAT.
Nuts are excellent sources of fiber, Vitamin E, magnesium, zinc, selenium, copper, potassium, phosphorus, biotin, riboflavin, niacin and iron. One ounce of nuts contains 165-200 calories and typically 14-21 grams of fat. I don't recommend large portions of nuts because of the high calorie content, but eaten sprinkled on salads, as a snack or as part of granola for cereal they are certainly a welcome addition to a healthy diet.

Overall, nuts are great, just remember that one ounce of nuts is considered a serving, and don't go overboard.

Pistachios have less calories than other nuts. They tastes great too.

Almonds, Brazil nuts, cashew nuts, hazelnuts, macadamia nuts, pecans, peanuts, pistachio nuts, walnuts), are an excellent source of vitamin E, an important antioxidant, and B-complex vitamins thiamin (B1) and niacin (B3). Note however, that vitamins E and B1 are destroyed when nuts are roasted. So for optimum health and nutritional benefit, nuts are best eaten unsalted and non-roasted

I'll take it one step further...Almonds are great, but don't eat more in one day than you can fit in an altoids can. Pecans are also good for you. But same concept. Good fats for you, but make sure you drink a lot of water to keep it moving through your system.
