i live in a small town and ive talked to several doctors about how you can get chlamydia but theyre biased and useless. my best friends boyfriend has it and has been trying to convince her that he got it from a toilet seat (lmao) can this actually happen? and if so, what are the chances of it? oh and shes been tested and doesnt have it. makes me wonder...

The ONLY thing you can get from a toilet seat is public lice (crabs) and even this is REALLY rare!

Please do not listen to him, it sounds like he is totally lying to you! 2/3 of women and 1/2 of men who have chlamydia have no symptoms at all; others have symptoms so mild they aren't noticeable. So he might have had it for a while and now finally realized it.

Check out this site for more information, it's really useful:

Unless your friend's boyfriend was using his penis as a toilet scrubber in a public bathroom, which would make him the stupidest person in the world, he's simply the world's worst liar.

Either way, it's time for your friend to upgrade.

what a jack... he is so lieing!!!! it can take a few months before symptoms apear sometimes years. he should of been given meds and her too. even though she came up neg. good idea to take them anyway. And even if he is on the meds.... she can still get it... if they have been together along time, i would say its time to kick him o the curb and move on.... if she just started dating, he could of already had it from a previous girlfriend. 1 in 5 people have some type of std..... always should pratice safe sex!

It doesnt necessarily mean he is cheating. He may have caught it from a previous partner long ago and the symptoms just didnt show up til now.
