we need plastic water pitchers for a church function please help.the kind that they sell in dollar stores

This is actually quite true. I remember a while back on TechTV on the show "Screensavers" they tested the theory by running cheap Vodka through six or seven stacked Brita filters. The conclusion was that even though it works quite well, it is pretty pointless since for the cost of all those filters and filter replacement costs it is almost just as expensive as buying the good stuff to begin with.

I know if you go to Walmart down the "summer" aisle, you can find cute, colorful pitchers for really cheap. Maybe a little over a dollar, but not much.

Well I don't know if you have a dollar store in your area, but if you do, then try the dollar stores, possibly you may even get two for a dollar.
there are two dollar stores in the town where I live and everything is cheap.

could you ask members to donate one?
we did donate one big jar for the occasions like pot luck.bbq. bible study. church meeting..no they did not ask us, we just figure it that we need something bigger and sometimes kids reach for the pitchers .. we had lots of things donated by members...
it might help..it would be use for many times so I guess they would donate if they were informed about this...
I think you know about dollar store... but walmart sells good cheap ones too...
