I only want a traditional hand hammered wok, not a factory made wok or a nonstick wok.

Check an open air market outside the tourist section, but they are probably selling factory made woks as they are cheeper. Check a fancy tourist shop. They like to cater to people looking for traditional things. If they're not there, a lot of people in Shanghai speak English and may be able to help you find what you're looking for.

Its a bit like looking for apple pie in America,but you can take your pick.There are plenty of Shanghai Wok Makers.

Just go around and ask... plenty of places should have it if you venture away from the tourist area.
