Nearly all diet sodas are carbohydrate free. That means they won't raise blood sugar. As a diabetic they are one of the very few things I can have all I want of without paying any penalty.

I'm a diabetic and I drink the stuff anytime I want a treat.

No. Diet pop has no sugar or carbohydrates in it so it should not raise your blood glucose. It is sugar and carbs that your body changes into blood glucose. No sugar or carbs...no glucose spike.

Yes, but it doesnt contain sugar or carbs however it does have sodium, which isnt good for diabetics. my mom is a diabetic and a nutritionist will tell you that you shouldnt drink any pop diet, is perfectly fine. if your diabetes is controlled then you should have no problem with the occassional pop! its all about portion control!
