In order for a baby to have a STD such as HIV or Gonorehea the mother must be infected.

i don't think so. so if you have one, i think your mom must have it but doesn't know. stds like herpes and hpv sometimes have no symptoms and are not included in a routine std or pap test at the doctor. you have to specifically ask for those tests.

no, because usually the mother has to be a carrier of an STD and transmit it to you through the womb or childbirth
