Most vegetarians (not all) look bad because they aren't getting their proper nutrition. It's really hard to be a healthy vegetarian and most of them (not all) aren't willing to put in the time and effort. I agree humans are omnivores and it's natural.

I beg to differ but I look fantastic on a veggie diet! My skin is clear and it glows with natural radience. I am slim and have no pasty, carnivore bingo wings flapping on my arms. And I feel great. I've been a veggie for over 20 years - simply because I don't like the taste of meat!
Do you realise there are millions of people who, through their religious beliefs, also don't eat meat? You would have to argue very hard to say that they all look ill!
And I don't think you've ever had a proper vegetarian meal - cooked well, with the freshest ingredients, it is absolutely delicious - you wouldn't miss the meat at all. Give it a go, who knows, you may be surprised!

im vegan and im not "pastey ill." Since when is meat a gorgeous meal! I'm more attracted to an avacado bean sprout sandwich than a process ham sandwich. I am also not tired or run down! I am very active and full of energy. And for everyone that says vegans/vegitarians dont get enough protein is a lie! Meat isn't the only place you can get protein. And all you need is a one-a-day for iron.
lol life feeds on life? Since when fruits and veggies arnt life? I just believe in not killing and/or toturing animals for me to eat when I can eat veggies and alteritives instead.
Respect your girlfriend for her decision! Don't make her change for you just because you want her to eat a "gorgous" meal of carcass.

What a load of bull ! I know a few vegetarians and they look great! They are healthy, full of vitality and look fantastic. None of them are overweight. It's like any lifestyle choice, you need to eat the right foods to look good and be healthy inside and out and as long as you are getting your protein then that's fine. My mum's a 75 year old vegetarian and she is fitter than me! And she goes running. You see a lot of people eating out at fastfood restaurants eating burgers, pies, sausages, pizzas, nuggets etc and they look like crap, have loads of spots with dark circles under their eyes. I therefore don't each much junk and prefer to eat meat a couple of times a week with the family. What's wrong with choosing not to eat meat though? I could argue and say "why do all meat eaters look fat and unhealthy?" but I wouldn't stereotype unlike you! In fact my favourite meal is pesto pasta which is veggie and totally gorgeous and tasty.

I'm vegan and I certainly don't look ill or unhealthy! I have huge amounts of energy thanks to eating healthily and carefully, which is more than I can say for many omnis that I know. Protein and iron can easily found in foods like lentils, chick peas, baked beans, muesli etc. B12 is not available in vegan foods, but vegetarian it is. Us vegans tend to be responsible and take all the vitamins and minerals we need.
I've made many vegan meals that my omni husband loves, you don't need a carcass on your plate for it to be delicious.
Also... It's a choice. Just as a person chooses his/her job, partner and where to live. Would you like it if someone had a go at you because of a choice you made? I don't think so.

I don't think that you are trying very hard to find any healthy vegetarian women like Pamela Anderson, Alicia Silverstone, Cameron Diaz, Brandy, and Kim Basinger.
These are just a few of the beautiful vegetarian women in America.

First of all, only unhealthy veggies look ill. Secondly, if she is your girlfriend and you care about her, you will dine at restaurants that will serve her. Veggie or non-veggie, neither is best generally speaking, just one or the other is best for different people.
PS Since when does meat= "gorgeous meal" ??

I was a vegitarian for about 2 years. Then it finally hit me. That was the reason I had been ( I refrain from saying tired, because it wasn't that - it was like a dull weight on my head and I couldn't think clearly at times when I had little sleep added onto that. ) so foggy brained. I have to say this - make sure your girl gets protein and takes her vitamins. Protein doesn't just come from animals so she won't have to quit vegetarianism to stop looking so pasty.

They don't all look 'pastey ill'. (Learn to spell - are you getting enough meat to your brain?)
Enjoy your meat. Let others be. Your veggie girlfriend is probably moaning about you eating meat in front of her too. How annoying for her. In fact, didn't I see her in that vegan place with that hot, fit, vegan guy with the pecs the other day???
No? Well, you never know!!!

That's quite a generalization. I'm relatively sure you don't know *me* or you wouldn't say "all..." I'm not pale, pasty, tired OR run down. The number one compliment I receive? "You have such beautiful [note: sometimes the word is "radiant" instead] skin!" I'm pretty sure if I was pasty, complete strangers wouldn't comment on the beauty and/or radiance of my skin!
I'd argue the point more, but I'm busy training for a triathlon...

Yea, we, as omnivores, can't produce all the types of protein we need to stay healthy, and plants can't provide all of them for us. Which is a problem as without those your abilities to grow, repair yourself or make/maintain muscle go down the drain
