wow.....and I thought my 16th was lame.
Let me tell you, mine wasn't all that remarkable, but I've thrown a few that were memorable.
If you have acess to a pool, it's always a plus. if not, there is still a lot you can do.
The BBQ seems like a good Idea, if you leave out the MickyD's that is just (Full body shiver....)I don't know.
Still, if you're on a budget like I was there is stil a lot you can do.
Get a pinata, and fill it with something cool besides candy. Pie fights are a blast. All you need is whipped cream and empty pie tins.
I did that at a few parties. Everybody had to bring at least 1 can of whipped cream, and we didn't tell them why. When they showed up there were a pile of tins waiting. When the time came, everyone grabbed tins, filled them up and had at it. we followed up with a water fight to clean up. We used balloons, guns, and hoses. It was great!
As far as dessert, you should just get a large tub of icream and make a toppings bar. It would compliment the BBQ.
Still, what you do is up to you. Whatever would make it the most memorable and enjoyable for you is all that matters.

Ditch the apple pies at McDonald's. Are you doing dessert first because that's cool? Who's the BBQ surprise for, your friends? I'm confused. Just eat what you like best, with your friends at a Mall or someplace you love to hang out, then you can go back to your house and make telephone calls to boys, or whatever while eating more stuff, like pizzas.

Sounds ghetto to me.... who goes to MickeyD's for birthday parties????????? little kids, that's who. If you want it to be fab - you're going to have to spend more money then apple pies and a BBQ!
Decorations, food, and an awesome cake will do the trick.

Sounds good. Or what about having an ice cream cake. TCBY, Cold Stone, Baskin Robbins have them. Happy Birthday

no, that sounds like it sucks. Invite tons of your friends and family. Have your parents hire caterers for your favorite meal. Enjoy the food. Then later, go out with the girls to the mall...or wherever 16 year olds go. BLOW A TON OF MONEY!!!! HAVE FUN!!!!
