Fruit on sticks, you know cut up fruit skewered and layer out on some nice serving trays, you can prepare them your self. you can do some mini steak rolls, like flank steak beaten and tenderized, prosciutto, Gorgonzola cheese, mushrooms, and wrapped in bacon. brush it with basil olive oil before baking. These are great you skewer them with wood picks, they can be prepared in advance and frozen the flavors really blend. defrost and bake. You can also get prime rib and have it baked and cut into bite size pieces, You can get the meat at Costco or Sam's club pretty cheep. Serve different types of rolls, you can do little sandwiches but very time consuming and taste horrible frozen then served(i have been to several party's were the served them this way yuck!) Meatballs in sauce Swedish ,BBQ, teriuyachi, or a marinara sauce, they serve up great in chafing dishes with toothpicks, cheese all kinds of cheese and crackers. Pasta salad, green salads, and of course mini desserts. All the above can be served buffet style or you can have it served. I recommend the buffet style and have family friends help prepare the food in-advance. Save loads on the cost the same food served by a caterer will be triple the cost then you have to pay for the help.
Congratulations and good luck.

Finger sandwiches and fruit salads are great. You can add garden salads, cheese and crackers, a relish tray, look for something that can be served hot or cold. You may not want to get into food warmers. Although, meatballs can be left in a crock pot. Small pastries are nice. You can have a very nice menu without a lot of fuss or expense. Good luck.

My mom is the oldest of 10. They threw my grandparents a fiftieth anniversary party 20 years in the past. It replaced into at their domicile and it replaced into potluck. all and distinctive presented a dish. the purely project not selfmade, replaced right into a cake. My Grandparents loved it!!!!!!!!! regrettably my grandmother surpassed on to the great beyond this previous March after 70 years of marraige. yet for those 20 years after the party, they always had very fond memories, quite because all and distinctive made nutrition, particularly than had it catered. It in basic terms extra a particular contact for them. (people except kin presented nutrition too.) Ask round, if that is something that ought to artwork, amke a list of what people intend to carry so with slightly of success there should not be duplicates. inspite of if there are, it really is O.ok. that is the concept that counts!!!!!!!!

Finger sandwiches, of course, and fruit salad, and little hors d'hourves; what you save on the menu, you can spend on the Champagne; don't spend less than $20. a bottle, because people can tell.

My girlfriend had the exact same situation.
She did a Mexican theme. It was set up as a buffet and people could make their own nachos, taco's, burritos, etc. Lots of rice and beans and Nacho chips. She even had a Margarita station. The whole thing was really fabulous.

BBQ! But it doesn't have to be hot dogs and burgers, you can grill anything from salmon to asparagus to chicken and steaks. You can hire professional BBQers that come with a giant grill and are dressed in kitchen whites. It can be quite classy and who doesn't love BBQ.
