Being obese means having so much body fat that your health is in danger. Having too much body fat can lead to type 2 diabetes, heart disease, high blood pressure, arthritis, sleep apnea, and stroke.

Because of these risks, it is important to lose weight even if you do not feel bad now. It is hard to change eating habits and exercise habits. But you can do it if you make a plan.

Being overweight can cause many physical health problems. Being overweight and have diabetes is not a good combo. There are no benefits to being overweight. Having excess weight is hard on joints, your heart, your blood pressure, your lungs, your kidneys, your breathing, and can cause many other nasty things. If you think you are overweight and you need help to lose weight, have a chat with your family physician. He or she can give you a eating program and a exercise program that is right for your body and body conditions.

Good luck to you and I hope you feel better soon!

Very bad ones. Your organs get covered in fat, you get stretch marks, it's hard on your heart, you get arthritis in your knees, and your hips. People make fun of you, so it's also bad for your self esteem. It has a bad effect in every single way. You wouldn't be confident because you would feel like you're too fat. And you can get diabetes... obese people aren't healthy.

It costs you more for clothes in some instace. It keeps you from seeing your feet or tieing your shoe laces. It forces you to roll out of bed or use a railing to pull youself out. It over works your heart. It is related to the increasing amount of plaque in your arteries that cause heart attack. It limits the amount of contact with the opposite sex. IT makes you take up two seats on the bus. It keeps you from eating at the All You Can Eat Chinese Buffet, who put out a CLOSED sign the moment they see yo for the 10th time. You get bruses on your hands from them hitting doorways as you never rememver to pull them in closer to you body. You take up all the asle space in a store. You collapse flimsy fast food restaraunt chairs. You can't get through the trap door in an elevator should thre be a problem and the emergency people have to get you out that way. You waddle instead of walk. Your belly bounces as you walk. You breath harder and make more grunting sounds. YOu sweat more. You break pastic toilet seats after a few weeks of use. You look like a round version of Sponge Bob. You have to wear a rope because no one makes a size 75 belt. YOu have to have double doors in your house to keep from being stuck and having to get the fire department to pry you out!

Hey, I was almost 200 pounds once and I'm 5'7" now I'm 145. I was 119 when I was in the Army and a size 29, at my worst I was size 39, now I'm a 32 like I was in my 20's! I won the Jerry Garcia look a like contest 3 years in a row! I ate two 7-11 chili cheese dogs and chocolate bunny milk for breakfst, a big sweet roll for break, a big meal plate (like a Yoshinoa combo Beef and Chicken with skins) with a 20 ounce soda for lunch topped off with a Milky Way, steak and macaroni with cheese (half the pack) for Dinner and I coudl down 2 liters of Coke at night without batting an eye! That was a 5,000 calorie per day lifestyle!

I have friends who are almost 300 pounds!

It has numerous effects. It raises the probability of heart disease, diabetes, and some forms of cancer. In some ways, it's effects are worse and wider-reaching than cigarette smoking.
